*The kids' towels are color coded. No more "who's towel is this laying on the floor?" or kids just grabbing a new towel because they don't know which one is theirs.
Hooks! These boards with hooks already on them can be found at Lowe's, Home Depot, Target, and I'm sure plenty of other places have them too. This is what has worked for us for years. Anyone else have any solutions the bath towel dilema?

I love both these ideas (hooks and color coding!) We'd love to have a big family one day, Lord willing (we have to wee ones right now :-) so I'll have to keep this in mind.
ReplyDeleteWe gave each child a special towel embroidered with their name, and they hang it on the back of their bedroom doors. I like that better than a lot of towels in one small bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 towels for each kid in their own special color (and Hubby and I have 2 towels each also). I installed hooks on the kids walls for their towels and they have to bring them in and out of the bathroom with them. They remember to bring it pretty well after the first time they get out of the shower and they're cold.
ReplyDeleteYes! I have been wanting to do this for years--but someone gifted us with a bunch of beautiful like-new towels two years ago, and so I can't justify getting new ones. But luckily my kids are good about putting their towels on their hooks--each kid has his/her own hook--so they usually know which is theirs. : ) But in a few years, when the towels need to be upgraded, I'll SO be doing this!
ReplyDeleteP.S. love the new blog--look forward to reading it!
Oh, and the hooks we have do not have any special ornamentation, but Ihave always wanted hooks that have the kids' initials at the top!
